Amanda Perez-Parker

Amanda Perez-Parker

Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy

Amanda received her bachelor's degree from James Madison University in 2016 and her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of New Hampshire in 2024. She is currently a resident in marriage and family therapy.

She has three years of experience working with individuals, families, and couples addressing a variety of mental and behavioral health concerns. During her time in New Hampshire she worked at her on-campus clinic treating couples and individuals, and in the youth and family services division of a community mental health organization, treating children 5-17 with Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, and other related mental health issues. She loves working with couples struggling to communicate, neurodivergent children, adolescents, and adults, and LQBTQ+ adolescents and couples.

Amanda's education and practice is steeped in theory and research and while she favors an emotion-focused, attachment-based lens, she is an integrative therapist, and will work with clients to find the best approach to meet their specific needs.

When she isn't working, Amanda can be found playing board games and dungeons and dragons with her partner and friends, playing guitar, singing show tunes, and cozying up with her dog and reading a fantasy romance novel.

Amanda is enthusiastic, patient, and direct, and loves collaborating with clients to help them make friends with their anxiety, navigate the world with more confidence, and seek better understanding of themselves and their community. She knows that change isn't linear, and she is here for the ups and downs. If you are interested in learning more, reach out for a free consultation!
